Sports-themed restaurant to be demolished making way for home furnishings retailer.

Buckhead’s ESPN Zone will soon be demolished.

Restoration Hardware has plans to erect a new 56,460-square-foot storfront where the 34,852-square-foot sports themed restaurant currently stands (ESPN Zone shuttered Oct. 1, 2009), at 3030 Peachtree Road.

Thirty Thirty Peachtree LLC, landlord of the Buckhead space, submitted a building permit application with City of Atlanta earlier this week to construct the Restoration Hardware store from the ground up.

An estimated $19,655,000 will be spent building the new retail space, according to the permit.

In mid-May, Thirty Thirty Peachtree LLC submitted a separate building permit application to demolish the existing ESPN Zone structure at an estimated cost of $200,000.
