Forever 21 is moving forward with plans to open in Atlantic Station, the retailer’s largest metro Atlanta location.
Permit applications this week were submitted to the City of Atlanta for the new 21,000-square-foot Forever 21.
Once the permits are approved, the “fast-fashion” retailer can begin its build out in the mixed-use development.
The Los Angeles-based retailer will open summer 2019 as part of an ongoing redevelopment of the Atlantic Station.
“Atlantic Station’s transformation offers a unique opportunity to bring highly sought-after retailers to the midtown market and further distinguishes the property’s vibrant tenant mix,” Nick Garzia, director of retail leasing at Hines, said at the time of Forever 21’s announcement last year.
“As we continue our efforts to weave seamlessly into the in-town neighborhood, the addition of Forever 21 is a perfect complement to the expanding H&M flagship, enhances our retail appeal and allows us to reach a broad cross-section of customers.”
Forever 21 will be adjacent to the H&M flagship between Park East District and Market Street.
It will offer two stories of apparel and accessories.
