When Christen Okete pivoted from her job at Google last year, she wanted to build something new that would cater to busy moms and women like her. From that vision, HEATD Studio was born.
The heated Pilates and yoga studio will open in a 1,450-square-foot space at 4971 Austell Road, Suite 208, in Mableton. The space will aim to bring a premium, community-driven experience designed to promote movement, heat-based wellness and recovery.
“HEATD is built with tons of intention,” Okete told What Now Atlanta. “This isn’t just a workout studio — it’s a space designed for real life, for people who are busy, for parents, for people who live a multifaceted life, for anyone who needs flexibility but still wants a high-quality experience with a sense of community. We’re bringing that here.”
The space will feature a main studio, a private room, a shower and a sauna room. Signature classes will include Hot Mat Pilates, Hot Yoga Flow and Sculpt & Burn.
Okete is emphasizing the community-driven aspect of the brand as she prepares for opening.
“I am a host at heart,” Okete said. “I love hosting people, meeting them as they are and inviting them to come and enjoy. I’m excited to bring wellness and luxury to the community.”
Renovations are underway on the Mableton location, and Okete is targeting a June opening for opening. She is hoping to expand the concept to 2-3 locations in the first 12 months.
“I would love to scale it in a way that keeps it in a niche similar to Mableton — different cities that are small but mighty,” Okete said. “They’re growing, they’re impactful and they need this kind of overall wellness space.”
