High Country Outfitters is opening a new location in Buckhead.

The outdoor gear and apparel business is planned for the Peachtree Battle shopping center, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The scope of work includes interior finishes, walls, doors and electrical work.

The 3,385-square-foot space between Richard’s Variety Store and Gramercy was previously a pet store.

High Country Outfitters has seven locations in Georgia: Alpharetta, Athens, East Cobb, Midtown, Peachtree City, Peachtree Corners and an existing one in Buckhead. The locally owned and operated store was founded in 1975. It sells outdoor brands like Patagonia, Free Fly, On Running, Vuori and YETI.

The new location is slated to open spring 2024.
