Highland Yoga is bringing a new location to Buckhead, according to permit filings. It will take over a 1,900-square-foot space at 3720 Roswell Road, Suite 5, at Powers Ferry Square. The space was previously home to King & Bear Children’s Boutique. The new location is expected to open this fall.

The permit filed earlier this month detailed plans for renovation, including changes to walls, ceilings, floors, finishes, HVAC and plumbing.

The Atlanta-based yoga studio currently has seven locations across the Atlanta area, including an existing Buckhead location. Other spots include Brookhaven, Decatur, Memorial, Sandy Springs, Virginia-Highland and Westside.

Highland Yoga has additional locations in Athens and Alpharetta, as well as one out-of-state location in Nashville.

Formerly a practicing attorney, Elsie Brotherton launched Highland Yoga in 2015 with the goal of creating the type of yoga studio she herself was looking for, with elements such as convenient hot power yoga classes, a welcoming environment and a rewarding experience regardless of class or instructor. The brand emphasizes a vinyasa flow style and highlights community-building, according to its website.

“Highland Yoga is a safe space for transformative yoga,” the website states. “We believe everyone deserves a great yoga practice, every class, every day. We empower students to mindfully connect with their most authentic selves and with others. We are a community that feels like family and a place that feels like home.”

Stay tuned for an exact opening date.
