Outdoor activewear and gear retailer files plans for Old Fourth ward.

Mountain High Outfitters is moving forward with plans to open its second Georgia location in Ponce City Market (PCM).

A building permit application was submitted to City of Atlanta Tuesday to buildout suite E184 in the Old Fourth Ward redevelopment project.

An estimated $287,282 will be spent in commercial alterations to the 6,900-square-foot retail space for the outdoor activewear and gear retailer.

It does not appear as if Mountain High was PCM’s first choice for an outdoor equipment retailer. The mixed-use project launched a social campaign, “Bring REI To PCM,” at the end of 2013.

Mountain high is expected to open this Spring.
