A national discount store is expanding, with another location planned for Georgia.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has signed a 25,000-square-foot lease at Sugar Hill Station, a shopping center located at the intersection of GA-20 and Buford Highway.

The first Ollie’s Bargain Outlet store opened in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1982. The chain now has more than 540 stores in 31 states, including 35 in Georgia. The retailer offers a variety of merchandise, including household items, health and beauty products, toys and entertainment, and more.

Ollie’s is continuing to expand its footprint across the U.S., recently acquiring 15 former Big Lots stores. According to the company’s Q2 2024 fiscal report, total net sales increased 12.4 percent to $578.4 million as compared to Q2 2023.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is expected to open at Sugar Hill Station in summer 2025.

Atlanta-based commercial real estate firm Halpern Enterprises owns, leases and manages Sugar Hill Station. The shopping center is 96 percent occupied, with tenants like Dunkin Donuts, Papa John’s, Liberty Tax Service, Enterprise, Boost Mobile and O’Reilly Auto Parts.

“Sugar Hill Station is a vibrant, well-located retail center in northern Gwinnett County, providing Ollie’s with a robust customer base,” Halpern Regional Leasing Director Benjamin Halpern said in a statement.

Sugar Hill Station is located 2 miles from the Mall of Georgia and 5 miles from Lake Lanier.
