QuikTrip is being planned for the Home Park neighborhood of Atlanta, at 630 10th Street.
It will be a traditional QT and not the store-only concept first introduced in 2016 to Atlanta’s high density core at Peachtree and 6th.
It will also be the second QT on the Westside, the other location being off Howell Mill Road.
“This project will incorporate a convenience store as well a fuel pumps,” shared QuikTrip’s project manager Michael Burk in an email with What Now Atlanta.
“Construction is anticipated to start in the spring of 2020.”
Building the new 4,969-square-foot convenience store and fuel canopy covering eight dispenser islands is expected to cost north of $700,000.
“We are looking at expansion in the Atlanta core on a a site by site basis,” continued Burk.
“We chose this site based on a lot of growth going on in that area which includes Northside, 10th Street and Georgia Tech. We are continuing to look in the Atlanta core for additional sites.”
Currently, QuikTrip operates more than 700 convenience stores in 11 states with Atlanta being its largest market with 137 stores in the greater metro area.
Burk mentioned that the convenience store-only concept off Peachtree and 6th is doing well for the company and that QuikTrip is always looking for opportunities with that kind of concept.
However, there are no immediate plans for another location of its kind in Atlanta in the near future.
Good god, might as well live in the burbs with quick trip on the west side and midtown and Dollar General in the Hanover building at 7th and Peachtree.
What is quick trip? This article was about QuikTrip.
Maybe they will wise up and add some DC Fast chargers.
That’s in unincorporated DeKalb, NOT Decatur. A Decatur address DOESN’T make it Decatur. Please get your facts straight.
