Greystar, a real estate investment, management, and development firm, is moving forward with plans to erect a mixed-use project at 144 Moreland Avenue in Reynoldstown.

The company submitted three building permit applications for Elan 144 to City of Atlanta Thursday including Multi-Family Land Disturbance, Multi-Family Quality Control Review, and the demolition of a single family residence that sits on the land where the project will be developed.

Elan 144 will include 285 apartment units on a 4.46 acre site bounded by Moreland Avenue to the east, Wade Street to the south, and Seaboard Avenue to the north, according to the project designer’s website. The average unit size is approximately 880 square feet.

The streetscape, facing Moreland Avenue and Brantley Street, will offer restaurants and shopping totaling 16,000 square feet.

In total, an estimated $6 million will be spent readying the land for the project, according to the permit applications.
