POP MART is planning its first store in Georgia, with plans to take a 1,700-square-foot space at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, according to Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta. It is planned for the space that currently houses Lolli & Pops.
POP MART, a Chinese toy and entertainment company, has been spreading across the U.S., bringing brick-and-mortar locations to various states. They offer both traditional stores and “roboshops,” which are vending machines that act as miniature POP MART stores and allow people to buy blind-box figurines.
The brand has more than 500 stores across more than 30 countries, as well as more than 2,000 roboshops. POP MART works with a variety of artists to produce designer toys, including characters such as MOLLY, DIMOO, SKULLPANDA, THE MONSTERS and HIRONO.
Figurines are often sold as “blind boxes,” meaning the buyer might receive any character in a series when purchasing the figurine. In addition to toys, the shop sells items like phone accessories, cups, bags and badges.
POP MART currently has a very limited presence in the Southeast, with the closest locations serving as roboshops in Tennessee and Florida.
As of now, an opening timeline for POP MART in Dunwoody remains unclear. What Now Atlanta reached out to the POP MART team for details on opening but did not hear back prior to publication.
