Ponce City Market is getting its first book store.
Posman Books, an independent mini-chain based in New York City, has filed plans to build out suite C197.
According to a permit, the outpost would be sized at just over 2,000 square feet. The suite is located in a corner unit in the courtyard adjacent to Marine Layer.
“The store will feature our distinctive mix of quality fiction and non-fiction, and a large children’s section,” VP and Buyer Robert Fader told What Now Atlanta Tuesday. “We will also carry gifts and stationery for both children and adults.”
The brand’s existing stores are located in Rockefeller Center and Chelsea Market, the latter which is owned by Jamestown Properties, Ponce City Market’s developer.
A tweet from May of this year announced that the new Posman Books location was hiring.
The outpost is slated to open this September.

This is spectacular news. Posman Books is a great company. They will fit right in with the vibe of PCM. We need more bookstores and this is more of a boutique concept.
