Resident has signed on to join the retail lineup in The Interlock, the $450 million mixed-use development on the westside, according to a press release Monday. The 1,590-square-foot store headed by parent company Sleep Tight Inc. will include products from brands like Nectar, DreamCloud, Awara, and Bundle with an array of home furnishing products such as bedding, mattresses, furniture, area rugs, home décor, and other accessories.
“Customers can say goodbye to the cluttered and confusing mattress store,” Austin Bond, executive vice president of Sleep Tight Inc., said in the release. “Resident will be the premier mattress-buying and home furnishings destination in Atlanta and provide guests an unparalleled shopping experience that combines the convenience of online shopping with the unique need to feel a mattress before buying it.”
Developed by S.J. Collins, The Interlock is a nine-acre community, at 1085 Howell Mill Road, that is “walkable from end-to-end” and home to 200,000 square feet of technology-focused office space, 105,000 square feet for retail and restaurant space, 349 apartments, and 18 townhomes as part of the Solis Interlock, 70 townhomes by Monte Hewett Homes, and a 161-room Bellyard boutique hotel with a modern lobby, restaurant, and bar.
The development’s other elements include the public Beeline Crossing Park, a one-acre rooftop with a modern private pool club and lounge with a retractable roof, and a 12,000-square-foot two-story restaurant and outdoor bar with a covered patio and an infinity-edge pool. The Interlock will also house a 50,000-square-foot incubator space by Georgia Technology Ventures and WeWork’s 120,000-square-foot co-working space. The development is slated to open in spring 2021. A second phase is in the works.
