Rural King Heading to Austell, Lining Up New Georgia Location

Outdoor brand Rural King is continuing its foray into Georgia. It has plans to open a new location in Austell in an 89,000-square-foot space at 2480 East West Connector, according to Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta. The spot previously housed a Regal Cinemas.

Rural King has two locations in Georgia, including spots in Bainbridge and Waycross. There is also a location heading to Rome.

The store sells lawn and garden items, outdoor and farm products, pet products, clothing, shoes, accessories, home and decor, and seasonal decorations.

Rural King is headquartered in its hometown of Mattoon, Ill. The brand launched in 1960 and has since expanded to more than 130 stores across the Southeast and the Midwest.

Construction is underway at the Austell site, though an opening timeline has not been released yet.
