Updates from two forthcoming Ponce City Market retailers.
Beauty retailer Sephora has displayed signage at the site of its currently-under-construction outpost at Ponce City Market announcing that the store will open in May.
An additional graphic found online indicates that the opening date will be May 27.
The location is unique in that it will be the only location in the Atlanta metro market not located in a mall or JC Penney store.
While Ponce City Market’s retail and restaurant offerings grow, it is beginning to look more and more like Old Fourth Ward’s urban, walkable response to the shopping mall concept.
Also in Ponce City Market, Elk Head Clothing, a brand of menswear, has filed plans with City of Atlanta to move into space N217 on the second floor.
The brand has sold its clothing through neighboring retailer Citizen Supply and at local concept Brick + Mortar in the past, in addition to selling its products online.
A representative with the brand was not available for comment.
