The home furnishings retailer late last week filed plans for the Atlanta store, Serena & Lily’s first in the southeast.

California-based Serena & Lily is moving forward with plans to open its first Southeast brick-and-mortar design shop.

The store will be situated in West Midtown’s Westside Provisions District, at 1198 Howell Mill Road.

The company late last week filed a building permit application with City of Atlanta to buildout the forthcoming 3,114-square-foot space formerly occupied by Star Provisions.

Star Provisions, a restaurant, café and market, in April relocated to the Ellsworth Office Lofts.

An estimated $442,500 could be spent building out the upscale home decor company’s new store, according to the permit filing.

The West Midtown outpost, the brand’s sixth retail location, will offer home decor, bedding, bath and furniture items.

While the company was founded in 2003, Serena & Lily founders Serena Dugan and Lily Kanter only began opening design shops in 2013.
