A salon franchise has inked a lease at 1200 White Street in the West End. Sola Salon Studios will open in a nearly 8,000-square-foot space at the development, with plans to open in spring 2026.
The franchise features private studios for health and beauty professionals and offers business and technology support for these professionals to help them thrive in the studio. This location will include 41 salon suites that will serve a wide variety of health and beauty offerings.
This will be the third location for franchisee Kelley Morrissey and her husband. Morrissey told What Now Atlanta that she and her husband began to explore entrepreneurial opportunities several years ago.
“We were looking for a way to bring balance to our family,” Morrissey said. “We came across the Sola model and fell in love with it and what it’s about. We love the entrepreneurial idea of it.”
Morrissey has now been franchising with Sola for three years. She enjoys coming alongside beauty professionals from a variety of backgrounds — hair stylists, estheticians, nail and lash techs and more — to help them build a strong client base and thrive in the salon suites offered through Sola.
“We have stylists from all over that come, and Sola has created a good brand,” Morrissey said. “Sola sets itself apart to provide support from marketing to amenities [for our stylists] to elevate them to the next level.”
For Morrissey, the development at 1200 White Street is especially exciting. She is looking forward to joining a development with various concepts to enjoy, including the recently opened Dill Dinkers, a 35,891-square-foot pickleball facility.
“I love a good repurposed space, where they took something that has some history and as opposed to just ripping it all out, they repurposed it to a mixed-use space for the community,” she said. “We’re so excited it’s on the Beltline — it was everything that we were looking for.”
Through Sola Salon Suites, Morrissey aims to empower stylists, and she enjoys watching the community that the salon builds as stylists come together to support each other.
“What I love the most about it is that it builds community connections,” Morrissey said. “I love getting to meet different people and their clients. It’s like a little micro-community of support.”
Sola Salon Suites has grown to more than 700 locations. Within Atlanta, Morrissey views the West End location as an ideal next step for their expansion plans in the area.
“With Sola, it’s become personal within the community and the economy, so when I see the West End in a place that’s coming alive, I think it’s going to be awesome,” Morrissey said.
