Stretch Society, a new wellness brand from Legacy Franchise Partners — a family office that specializes in developing lifestyle, health, and wellness concepts around the world — is now operating out of four Atlanta-area studios: Brookhaven, Buckhead, East Cobb, and Kennesaw.
Stretch Society specializes in “Stick Mobility,” a training tool technology that combines joint mobilization, strength training, and deep fascial stretching. “Stretch Society classes use [Stick Mobility] as a tool to improve range of motion, muscle activation, coordination, and body awareness to build a strong foundation for better movement,” a company spokesperson tells What Now Atlanta.
“We are continuing to see an increase in people’s dedication to health and wellness, especially in this current climate,” Jamie Weeks, president, Legacy Franchise Partners, said in a prepared statement. “Flexibility and mobility are the cornerstones to a sound body and mind and through this concept, anyone can begin the proper groundwork for their health and wellness journey.”
Depending on age and fitness level, people can choose among a variety of stretch classes classified by music genre:
- lifeSTRETCH – a 45-minute signature class with head-to-toe stretching using a combination of Stick Mobility, stretching straps, and body-weight movements.
- strengthSTRETCH – a 45-minute mix of active stretching and focused core, leg, and balance work using Stick Mobility and bodyweight movements.
- stickSTRETCH – a 45-minute Stick Mobility class meant to increase the functional range of motion, strength, posture, stability, and body awareness.
- deepSTRETCH – a 45-minute class focused on destressing.
