A homegrown beauty brand is expanding to Grant Park this year. Sugarcoat will open a new location at 1039 Grant St. SE, a 2,400-square-foot space formerly home to Vagabond Hair Salon.
“We’re really excited to be in Grant Park,” Sugarcoat owner Peiru Kim told What Now Atlanta. “It’s an area that really needs more stores to revitalize the area, and we feel honored to be selected to be at that location. We feel really excited about serving that community. We don’t have any locations in Grant Park or Inman Park, so it’s something we’re looking forward to.”
Sugarcoat offers manicures, pedicures, lash extensions, hair color and extensions, facials, custom nail art and microblading. At the forthcoming Grant Park location, Sugarcoat will offer elevated manicure and pedicure services as well as a head spa.
The location is about four to five months out from opening, Kim said.
Kim launched Sugarcoat 16 years ago along Pharr Road in Buckhead. Since then, the brand has grown organically through community support. It now has 23 locations across Atlanta and Florida.
“We’re always looking to serve the community and expand our platform,” Kim said.
