A locally owned and operated salon is adding to its portfolio of locations with an upcoming salon at Uptown Atlanta.
Work is proposed for a new Sugarcoat salon planned for 552 Main Street NE, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The estimated cost of construction on the 2,200-square-foot space is $200,000, according to the application.
“We are so excited to be in the center of metropolitan Atlanta, close to the oldest neighborhoods in Atlanta, in the middle of the largest job centers in the state,” the company said of the new location.
Sugarcoat currently has 12 salons around metro Atlanta, with several more on the way. A location is also planned for Miami Beach, Florida. Services include manicures and pedicures, facials, hair extensions and coloring, microblading, and lash extensions.
Uptown Atlanta is a mixed-use site being developed by Rubenstein Partners. Located near the Lindbergh Center MARTA station, it includes office, retail and restaurant space.
