Plans filed Friday for electric car retail center and charging station at Buckhead mall.

Lenox Square Mall is getting a Tesla Motors showroom and charging station.

Simon Property Group, the luxury Buckhead mall’s developer, submitted a building permit application with City of Atlanta Friday to renovate suite 3024B into the electric car retail center.

An estimated $330,000 will be spent in commercial alterations to the 3,245-square-foot space, at 3393 Peachtree Rd., according to the permit application.

  • I live across the street and my Tesla is to arrive in September. I think Lenox Square is excellent choice.

  • This is excellent marketing for Lenox Square. Malls across America, need to find more ways to market their properties, as the internet closes in on the business.
