The last day for the high-end men’s retailer was August 5.
Ohio-based Ticknors Men’s Clothier quietly closed its Phipps Plaza store this month.
Brandon Esker, southeast regional manager for Ticknors, confirmed the news in an email Thursday to What Now Atlanta.
“After analyzing the traffic patterns at both malls we decided that it would be in our best interest to move to Perimeter,” Esker said.
“It also opens up space for Simon who had been a great partner of ours in our expansion to re-lease the Phipps space to someone who can take advantage of its opportunities.”
The last day for the upscale men’s clothing store in Buckhead was August 5.
The Phipps Plaza store was the brand’s first Atlanta location.
Ticknors will relocate to Perimeter Mall, opening in space previously occupied by BCBG next to White House Black Market.
The new store, on the first level of Perimeter Mall outside of the Nordstrom wing, will debut Friday, September 1.
The privately held company since 1993 carries brands like John Varvatos, Tommy Bahama, Cole Hahn, and Johnston & Murphy.
