A waxing studio is coming to Dunwoody.

Waxing the City is planned for 5475 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, according to construction plans.

According to a Regency Centers site map, the studio will be in Dunwoody Village, in an approximately 1,600-square-foot space between the florist Blooms of Dunwoody and Alloy Personal Training.

Missouri-based architecture firm ArcVision Inc. is working on the new studio, according to construction documents.

Waxing the City is a franchise that offers facial and body waxing services, as well as specialty beauty treatments and retail products. The company founded in 2003 is part of Self Esteem Brands, whose portfolio also includes Anytime Fitness, Basecamp Fitness and The Bar Method.

There are currently more than 150 locations of Waxing the City across the U.S., including several in Georgia. Waxing the City can currently be found in Alpharetta, Buckhead, Atlanta’s Upper Westside, Warner Robins, Newnan and Cumming.

The company announced last fall that three new franchise agreements would bring nine locations to the Atlanta market. Deals were also announced for Nashville; Philadelphia; Minneapolis-Saint Paul; the Bay Area; and Austin, Texas.

The owner of the upcoming Dunwoody location could not immediately be reached for more information about when the studio is expected to be open.
