Whole Foods is slated to anchor a new development on its way to South Forsyth County. The development, a project developed by Fuqua Development, will be located at Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Peachtree Parkway in Cumming.
The spot will be located across from The Collection @ Forsyth, according to the Fuqua Development website.
“The planned expansion and continuation of Ronald Reagan Boulevard will place the development in the heart of north-south traffic flow and in the hub of retail activity,” according to Fuqua’s website. “This site has ample visibility and will attract visitors throughout Forsyth and surrounding counties.”
Construction on the development and the forthcoming Whole Foods began this past spring. As of now, an exact opening timeline remains unclear.
Whole Foods launched in Austin in 1980 and has gained a reputation for a healthy selection of food and groceries, placing an emphasis on natural and organic food. The company has more than 500 stores across the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
Editor’s Note: This article has been updated to reflect that the development is along Peachtree Parkway rather than the previously stated street name of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, per the Fuqua Development website.
This is at Ronald Reagan and PEACHTREE PARKWAY. Peachtree Industrial Blvd is about 9 miles east of here in Gwinnett County. Once again this website has out of town staff writing articles about an area they don’t know. Just like the guy who thought Sweet Auburn was Edgewood.
Do some of your own research and stop blaming your mistakes on Fuqua’s website. Also, it’s only Fuqua’s title that says Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Right under that is an entire paragraph describing the project, and it begins “This project is located at the bustling intersection of Ronald Reagan Blvd and Peachtree Parkway, in rapidly growing Forsyth County with prestigious Alpharetta addresses.”
They have removed every tree and blade of grass for this development. It is a environmental nightmare.
