gusto!, the Atlanta born-and-bred, quick-casual brand serving bowls and wraps, has announced its continued expansion — this time to Buford, Ga., nestled just in between Atlanta and its forthcoming Athens shop (projected for a late 2021 opening).
gusto! Buford will be situated in the new Exchange at Gwinnett development, anchoring a streetside corner unit with a drive-thru and covered patio as the brand’s 10th storefront in Georgia and is expected to open in 2022.
“Buford is a major, familiar corridor for many Georgians,” Nate Hybl, the founder of gusto!, said in a press release. “We’re proud to represent as an Atlanta-born brand and looking forward to serving such a dynamic, diverse neighborhood. We’re also really excited to introduce our brand to visitors from central and northern regions of the state – especially with its close proximity to the Mall of Georgia and anticipated Exchange at Gwinnett.”
The Buford shop joins the brand’s growing roster alongside forthcoming shops in Athens and East Cobb, along with additional unnamed locations on the horizon.
gusto! Buford will be located at the forthcoming Exchange at Gwinnett development, set just in front of a new Sprouts Farmers Market at 2925 Buford Drive, Building 1700, Buford, Ga., 30519. The Exchange at Gwinnett, upon completion, will be home to various entertainment venues, shopping, office space, and several fast-casual restaurants.
“We’re excited to be a piece of the booming development in Buford,” Richmond Green, partner and director of operations and strategy for gusto!, said. “This neighborhood, in particular, is one of the fastest-growing communities in metro Atlanta – and we’re really looking forward to planting the gusto! flag near so many other cool brands coming to the area. As our fourth drive-thru, we’re really leaning into that model that proved so successful and convenient throughout the pandemic.”
The menu at gusto! Buford will feature the same options as its fellow shops, with the option to select a base of mixed greens, rice, half and half, or steamed flatbread wrap. Guests select a grilled protein, such as chicken, umami tofu, or shrimp, among others, and “bring it to life” with their choice of “gusto!” — or signature flavor profile — such as chile sesame BBQ, tzatziki lemon artichoke, or sweet soy sriracha.
