Serenbe’s newest restaurant Halsa will open its doors Friday, March 22, 2019, in the planned community’s Mado neighborhood.

Halsa, or “health” in Swedish, is a vegetable-forward, “polished casual” concept influenced by the founder and CEO of Serenbe Steve Nygren’s travels to Sweden.

Chef Nicolas Bour, VP of food and beverage, designed the menu to feature Swedish specialties, alongside a build your own bowl section offering a variety of grains, vegetables, and proteins.

“I’m thrilled for Halsa to arrive because it will allow us to once again broaden the dining choices of our residents and guests while providing a health-focused option for the neighborhood,” Bour said in a press release.

Smith Hanes Studio is behind the design of Halsa which includes black and white floor tiles and communal tables.

Halsa’s menu will have options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with breakfast including “classic favorites with healthy twists” like a spinach and feta omelet, multi-grain waffle or a Serenbe Scramble (eggs, mixed greens, and fresh bread).

Assorted breads will be freshly made each day, served with butter and fruit compote.

A juice bar will offer freshly squeeze, seasonally-rotating juices.

Lemonade, mixed veggie juice and smoothies will be available all day.

In addition to bowls, Halsa will offer sandwiches, soups and a variety of lunch plates to choose from.

The restaurant will be open seven days a week with no reservations required.
