Adventure Park Urban Air is opening its sixth Georgia location. The franchise, which has parks in Macon, Augusta, Newnan, Mcdonough, and Lawrenceville, among many other US cities, caters to birthday parties, team-building events, and family gatherings.

Like all Urban Air locations, the Buford spot will boast a set of core attractions. The sky rider (a harness contraption that allows guests to fly over the whole facility), a trampoline zone, climbing walls, ropes courses, and dodgeball will be some of the activities up for grabs in Buford. In addition, the Buford spot will have laser tag and bumper cars — two activities unique to the new spot — as well as a few other “surprise attractions,” according to franchisee Jonathan Spindler.

“We preach active fun,” says Spindler, who also runs the McDonough location. “The whole goal is to get kids off their phones and engaging actively with their families. Sometimes kids will play for two, three, or four hours, and leave drenched in sweat. They won’t even realize that they’ve been active that whole time.”

Urban Air Buford is expected to open in December 2021 at 3480 Financial Center Way. Until then, you’ll just have to do your best to get your kids to build a fort out of sticks outside, or something. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, take a little road trip to any of Urban Air’s current GA locations. And if you bring the whole family, you can even get a special family discount.
