The famous national gas station and aspiring fast casual eatery 7-11 will soon begin making renovations at its Buda location, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The establishment is located at 18210 1-35, near EVO Entertainment in Kyle.

While most Americans may associate 7-11 as a mere gas station and bare-bones convenience store, the company has recently begun transforming into a fast casual brand. The company has made major moves towards restaurant-hood in recent years, such as building patios and drive-thrus at its locations, as well as developing its own delivery apps and gaining popularity on third-party delivery apps such as DoorDash and Uber Eats. For readers struggling to conceive a brand evolution so radical, this DC store serves as a perfect example for the brand’s ambitions.

Currently, 7-11 boasts a relatively diverse fast casual offering with meals such as hot dogs, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, taquitos, and others.

What Now Austin reached out to company representatives to inquire about the changes and the ways they will affect the location’s food & beverage component, but they were not immediately available for comment.
