Award-winning coffee shop Arwa Yemeni Coffee currently boasts three locations in Texas, including one in Cedar Park, whose opening What Now reported on back in 2024. The chain, which is based in Dallas-Fort Worth, now appears to be expanding with a new location in Leander.
A filing submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows a new Arwa Coffee opening at 11312 Hero Way W, Suite 2903. The filing indicates that construction, which carries an estimated $150,000 price tag, is expected to start on January 31 and reach completion on July 31.
In addition to classic espresso-based coffee drinks, Arwa Yemeni Coffee’s menu features traditional beverages like Jubani, a specialty brewed coffee with coffee husks and spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom; Mofawer, which is served with plenty of milk and lots of cardamom; and Qishr, a hot drink made from spiced coffee husks and ginger.
“Arwa Yemeni Coffee was established as a way to share the rich Yemeni culture with,” says the brand’s website. “As a family with deep roots in and fond memories of Yemen, we have a passion bringing awareness and amplifying the beauty of our homeland.”
Opening in the Hero Way West location, Arwa Yemeni Coffee would join restaurants like Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Jersey Mike’s Subs.
