Boasting nearly 3,000 locations across 19 states, Boone, Iowa’s Casey’s is preparing to bring several of its combination service station, convenience store, and restaurants to the Austin market. In addition to recently reported plans for a new Casey’s at 14200 FM 620 in Austin, the chain now has a second new location in the works.

A TLDR filing shows a new Casey’s planned for Liberty Hill, at 717 S Hwy 183. (Google Maps places this address in Leander.) At an estimated cost of $550,000, construction on the new Casey’s is expected to start on June 15 and finish on September 15.

“Casey’s is a growing convenience retailer with Midwest roots founded in 1968. Today, with more than 50,000 team members, we proudly serve millions of guests each day across 2,900+ stores in 19 states, with a strong presence in mid-size and rural communities, what we like to call Casey’s Country,” a representative told What Now in an email conversation earlier this month. “We’re a gas station that’s known for prepared food – especially our pizza. We’ve been making handmade pizza for more than 40 years, selling 48 million pizzas a year. We like to say it’s not gas station pizza; it’s restaurant-quality food from a gas station.”

The menu at Casey’s restaurants runs from specialty pizzas to Hot Sandwiches and Burgers, Fresh Wraps, Fresh Salads, and an ever-popular breakfast menu that includes breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and even breakfast pizzas.

“For more than 40 years, we’ve been perfecting our famous handmade pizza with new offerings such as thin crust, cauliflower crust or keep it classic with original,” says the Casey’s website. “Our made-from-scratch dough, real mozzarella cheese, fresh veggies and quality meats, means our pizza is crafted in-stores and baked fresh morning to night. As the fifth largest pizza chain in the U.S., we’re known for breakfast pizza (yes, it exists!) and several specialty pizzas (can you say Taco?), while still offering kid-favorite pizza staples like cheese and pepperoni (adults love them, too).”
