The small pizza and drafthouse chain, Aviator Pizza & Drafthouse, will soon be opening a new location in central Austin, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The restaurant will be located at 1905 Aldrich St, within Suite 115, near eateries such as Halcyon and The Canteen.
Defining themselves on the company website, Aviator states “Aviator Pizza & Drafthouse is proud to have a family history of making pizza that goes back over 30 years. We are honored to bring that experience to you today! If you’re craving some Texas craft beers or Texas wines we’ve got you covered with our 100% Texan menu serving over 50 options on tap.”
As the name suggests, Aviator serves a wide range of pizzas and beer, along with calzones, subs, salads, and a few baked desserts such as cinnamon sticks. Readers and potential customers can expect creative, memorable pizzas, such as The Major Tom which is made up of red sauce base, pepperoni, sage sausage, red onions, green pepper, and fresh portobello mushrooms.
What Now Austin reached out to owner John McElroy to inquire about pertinent information, but he was not immediately available for comment.
Until the new Austin location opens, readers can visit Aviator in Kyle, Elgin, and two other locations in Austin.
