Bella Donut has already caused quite the ruckus. The new donut shop sits on 6020 FM 1660, Suite C, and already has a “coming soon” sign hanging above it that’s caught the attention of Hutto neighbors all over social media.

According to a state permit filed this month, construction on Bella Donut is expected to start in December and wrap up by the end of February next year. Despite the building already being erected, with a looming attention-grabbing sign hanging over it, if all goes well with the estimated $150,000 construction project, doors to the 1,200 square-foot building that Bella Donut will live in should fling open by March 2026.

What Now Austin reached out to Sovann Chiem, who is listed as the owner on the permit for Bella Donut, but did not hear back by the time of this publication. But what we did find out is that Chiem likely owns this Bella Donuts in San Angelo, Texas, and if that’s the case, boy, are you guys in store for awesome treats.

Bella Donuts creates specialized hand crafted donuts in all kinds of colors, shapes, and flavors. Bella Donuts also serves pigs in a blanket and shakes (yum!!).

The good news is, according to Huttotopia, construction on Bella Donuts on FM 1660 is going well! After speaking to neighbors there, the outlet found out that Bella Donuts has been on a year-long journey towards opening. Apparently, Bella Donuts has endured several delays due to contractors and permit issues.

The hope is that the worst is over, but we shall see. If all goes well, you can expect to give Bella Donut a try yourself when the new donut spot opens at  6020 FM 1660, Suite C, in March 2026.
