National coffee bar chain Black Rock Coffee is building up a new area location at 231 E Riverside in Austin, according to recent public records.
“We strive for excellence in everything we do in life. Our crafted drinks are a way we show respect for our customers and ourselves. They are the beginning of a relationship built on trust and care that through time grows to see our stories unfold in our city,” the official website states.
The project, consisting of a “tenant finish out of an existing leased space” spanning around 1700 square feet, will begin in October 2025, spanning an estimated six months and costing $350,000.
Readers unfamiliar with Black Rock Coffee can expect a classic coffeehouse menu of drip, espresso, and cold brew along with smoothies, juice, Italian sodas and locally-determined breakfast options — “every Black Rock location provides fresh, locally-made pastry and breakfast items,” according to the website.
Since the company was founded by Jeff Hernandez in 2008, it has expanded to over 100 locations across the US.
