Buc-Ee’s, the popular statewide travel station and eatery, will soon be constructing a massive new construction project in Luling, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The development will be built at the 10070 Interstate 10 location, around an hour’s drive from downtown Austin.
According to the filing, the construction will cover 74,800 square feet, cost around $40,000,000 and will be completed in Q3 or Q4 of 2023.
What Now Austin reached out to Josh Smith, Director of Operations at Buc-Ees, to inquire about pertinent details regarding the development and its potential effects on the brand’s food & beverage experience, but he was not immediately available for comment.
Known for its wide-ranging selection of serious food offerings, such as pastrami reuben, tacos, bar-b-q, and kolaches. Apart from its sit-down hot food selection, the brand has an astounding variety of beef jerkies, fruit, ice cream, and a range of dessert.
