Cafe Java, a beloved Austin staple, is set to open a new location at 12129 Ranch Rd 620 N STE 102. There have been murmurs about the cafe opening a new location, and the website mentioned that a new location would be opening soon. The new owners behind the cafe confirmed that the new Cafe Java will open in Austin in December.

The opening will be the first Cafe Java to open in more than two decades. A recent state filing showed that an opening was coming, but did not detail when. Founder Matt Lacey first opened Cafe Java in Austin in 1996. What Now Austin reached out to Lacey about the new Cafe Java to come to Austin and was informed that he has officially retired and that the Siade family is now at the helm of the small but mighty coffee/breakfast empire.

With three locations in the Greater Austin Area, Cafe Java has already made an impact on the community, and the Siade family intends to keep that spirit alive and well at the newest addition.

“Cafe Java has become such a staple in the community; we don’t want to change anything,” Alexis Siade said in a conversation with What Now Austin.

Alexis runs marketing for the coffee chain with her father, Gustavo, running point on the operation. But it is a family business, and everyone has their roles. But, this top priority remains: keep Cafe Java the beloved mom and pop breakfast eatery it has been since its inception.

“Hopefully it will be great for the community. We’re just excited to finally be able to expand into Austin due to the support of the community. We wouldn’t be here without everyone in the Greater Austin area,” Alexis said.

“It’s like a breath of fresh air because it’s been a long time coming.”

Serving up traditional breakfast items like pancakes and omelets, Cafe Java also sprinkles in beloved Tex-Mex breakfast dishes like chorizo and eggs. Cafe Java’s extensive menu also includes a host of breakfast sandwiches, breakfast tacos, and more. Of course, you won’t run out of coffee beverages to wash down these delicious delicacies.

While Cafe Java lovers have been waiting for an opening, the Siade family wanted to make sure they preserved its legacy by finding the perfect location.

“We’ve been on the hunt for the perfect new location, and we honestly loved the neighborhood,” Alexis said.

“It fits the hometown feel.”

Check out the vibes and more at the new Austin addition when Cafe Java opens at 12129 Ranch Rd 620 N STE 102 this December.
