According to recent public records, a new seafood establishment is coming to town.
Fish Shop, led by Nicole Rossi and Chef Justin Huffman, is building up at 1401 East 6th St, in the new Centro Austin development.
“This spring, 2025, Chef Justin Huffman and Nicole Rossi of Le Beef are bringing you Fish Shop. A raw bar carved out of our love for brine and salt, a place where the ocean’s gifts meet the clatter of the kitchen and the hum of conversation. On East 6th Street, our doors will open to a place thats captured our experiences from the shores of New England, the misty inlets of Ireland, the quiet harbors of France, and the fish houses of the Pacific Northwest, to share them with you,” a recent instagram post states.
“It’s a neighborhood spot. A place for oysters and clams, for peel-and-eat shrimp and fish crudo, for chowder in a sourdough bread bowl and classic fish & chips. And always, the Le Beef Burger, because even the sea takes comfort in solid ground. It’s simple food done right, in a space bustling in good company. We’re excited to join our neighbors and friends @lolo_wine, @lichascantina, @lowdownlounge, @suerteatx, @uptownsportsclub, @oko.atx @whitehorseatx and many more on E 6th.”
While no opening date has been set, construction records corroborate the timeline above with a late May conclusion.
