Chili’s, the classic bar & grill chain, will soon be opening a Leander location at the SE corner of Ronald Reagan and Hwy 29, according to recent public records.
Records examined by What Now Austin show that construction will be for a “ground up restaurant”, slated to begin in September of this year and end next September, per projections. The project is estimated to cost $1.2 million and cover 5,116 square feet of space.
Founded in 1975 by Larry Lavine in the DFW area, the restaurant was sold in 1983 to Norman E. Brinker and has since then become a massive international presence with 1580 locations across all six continents. Today, the company is run by Brinker International.
Unfamiliar readers can expect to find classic American dishes with a touch of Tex-Mex at Chili’s, featuring highlights such as ribs, burgers, chips & queso, fajitas, and a full bar.
Until the Leander location opens its doors, eager readers can find Chili’s all across the Austin metro area, state, and country.
