Dave’s Hot Chicken is looking to expand in the Austin area, planning to open seven to 10 locations over three to five years, according to Brian Cassidy, CEO of CW Strong Restaurant Group, franchisee of the business.

The chicken franchise is opening its Georgetown location at 1039 W. University Ave on Sept. 11, in the former Carl’s Jr. spot, Cassidy said. Dave’s Hot Chicken has another location coming to Cedar Park at 1500 Whitestone Blvd., suite 100. The Cedar Park location is approximately 2,400 square feet, and Cassidy said he would like to open it before Christmas.
