According to recent public records, a growing south Asian chain is soon coming to town.

Desi Bites will soon begin building up its newest spot at 18145 Ronald Reagan in Leander, within Suite 160.

“Desi Bites is the Modern, Upscale Self Service Indian Fast Food Cafe, famous for its traditional Indian Cuisine at affordable prices,” the official website states.

“Desi Bites brings a diversified menu covering the Tiffin centers of Chennai, Biryani Cafes of Hyderabad, Chats from Streets of Mumbai, Kebabs of Lucknow, Indo-Chinese Delicacies of Kolkata and Delhi’s famous Mughlai Cuisine.”

“Desi Bites takes care of all their customers by using fresh ingredients sourced locally and prepared in extremely hygienic kitchens. Their Motto is “NO FOOD FROZEN EVER”. Their whole menu is prepared Fresh to provide a fulfilling experience and bring back the memories of home land.”

Public records examined by What Now reveal that construction will consist of a “First Generation Restaurant Finish Out with Dining, Sales, Commercial Kitchen and ADA/TAS Restroom.” The estimated cost is $500,000 and the projected end is January 2026.

In a brief call with operator Pruthvi Thummalapally, he tells What Now that the establishment intends to open in Q1 2026. Mr. Thummalapally was motivated to franchise the growing chain after meeting with representatives and learning they were looking for an Austin area location. He adds that the “nearby communities and demographics” of the location made the Ronald Reagan spot ideal for the brand’s expansion.

No opening date has been announced.
