The quickly-growing fried chicken chain, Hattie B’s Chicken, is planning to open a new location at 3100 Esperanza Crossing in Austin’s Domain, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas.

Public records examined by What Now Austin state that the $800,000 project will span 2,300 SF and consist of “interior renovation to include fixtures, finishes, kitchen equipment; exterior renovations at the patio to include expanded patio area, new sidewalk, covered canopy, new signage.”

Set to begin in June, the construction is projected to reach conclusion by the end of October.

Founded in Nashville, Tennessee, Hattie B’s Chicken has enjoyed growth into prominent Southern US markets such as Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis, Dallas, and one location in Las Vegas. Hattie B’s offers a simple menu consisting of fried chicken, wings, tenders, and chicken sandwiches that can be ordered with sides such as greens, fries, mac & cheese, baked beans and coleslaw. On the beverage side of the menu, foodies can order iced tea and hand-squeezed lemonade.

Until Hattie B’s opens their doors to the North Austin public, area foodies curious about fried chicken in the area can try the South Austin location at 2529 S Lamar Blvd.
