According to a recently submitted permit application, the international fried chicken chain Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken & Wings is gearing up to debut a new outpost in Kyle.

Coming to 920 Kohlers Crossing, Suite 500, the eatery will land near establishments such as Smokey Mo’s BBQ, Summer Moon Coffee, and Texican Cafe.

What Now Austin reached out to the Hangry Joe’s Restaurant Developer, Brandon Wilhelm, to inquire about the company’s plans for the upcoming spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing reveals that the interior finish-out of the 1,941-square-foot space is scheduled to begin on January 6, 2025, and finish on April 30, costing an estimated $200,000 in total.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Hangry Joe’s, the Fairfax-based concept is known for its spicy chicken sandwiches, tenders, and wings, served alongside sides such as fried okra, macaroni and cheese, and funnel cake sticks.

The business offers a brief introduction on its website: “From the bustling streets of the East to the vibrant locales of the West Coast, touching hearts in Dubai and Korea, our journey is flavored with the zest of ambition and the warmth of community.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
