Ked’s Ice Cream, Waffles, & Crepes is continuing its expansion in the Greater Austin area with two more locations set to open by the summer of 2026. Coming hot off the opening of the first Austin-area location at 15241 Ronald Reagan Blvd., Ste. 106, in Leander, Ked’s Ice Cream owner, Hussain Kedwaii, confirmed with What Now Austin that are plans are in the works to bring its more than 120 global flavors to not one, but two more locations by the summer of 2026.
Kedwaii shared that one Ked’s Ice Cream location will live in Round Rock, and he’s on the hunt for a third location to open in Austin next year. Austin was amongst the list of a handful of cities listed as “coming soon” on the Ked’s Ice Cream website. With the Leander location now up and running, the Ked’s Ice Cream boom in Austin is not stopping.
Jay Das is listed as the co-owner of the Leander location, according to Community Impact. Kedwaii shared that Das, along with Harish Bonagiri, will open the next two installments of Ked’s Ice Cream to come to the Austin-area location, with the Round Rock creamery set to open first.
Started in Plano, Texas, in 2009 as the Old Town Creamery, Ked’s Ice Cream began dishing out its award-winning ice cream to surrounding cities as a family-run business. Now, Ked’s Ice Cream is franchising. There are currently seven Ked’s Ice Cream locations, with plans to open several new locations in the coming years.
While the widely acclaimed ice cream is the foundation of this booming establishment, the cream is not all that Ked’s Ice Cream serves. Kedwaii started the brand with a focus on artisan ice cream but rebranded and expanded the menu to include crepes, waffles, bubble waffles, boba teas, and coffee.
The brand appears to be on its way to the best creamery in town. According to testimonials from customers, it already is.

Round Rock residents can rejoice in knowing a new creamery is coming soon and try the new ice cream spot themselves when Ked’s Ice Cream, Waffles, and Crepes opens in Round Rock in mid-2026. Stay on the lookout for the third Ked’s Ice Cream location set to open in Austin, also before summer 2026.
