According to recent public records, a budding cafe chain is soon coming to Austin.
Set for the prime address of 1400 S Congress Ave, La La Land Cafe will soon begin building up a 2,214 SF space, costing around $450,000 per estimates. Construction notes describe a “Tenant finish of an existing tenant space that will have a new La La Land Cafe, leased area to remain the same, SOW includes new kitchen, restrooms and dining area.”
In 2019, founder and CEO Francois Reihani opened the first La La Land Kind Cafe in Dallas, offering paid internships to youth in foster care to help them transition into adulthood. Now, the program offers job training, housing assistance and mental health resources. The brand also aims to be community-focused wherever they open their cafes, according to the La La Land website.
Readers unfamiliar with the brand can expect signature coffee drinks, coolers and seasonal drinks. The brand also serves signature toasts like truffle burrata toast and avocado toasts.
While no opening date has been announced, construction is expected to wrap up by May 2025.
