The popular BBQ food truck LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue will be premiering a brick-and-mortar location in late 2023, according to recent reporting in Eater. The restaurant will be located at 5621 Emerald Forest Drive in south Austin, near El Perrito ATX.

The report states that owners Sawyer Lewi, Lindsey LeRoy and Evan LeRoy will “expand its core barbecue menu” at this new location, debuting new dishes “making use of whole animal butchering” alongside existing staples such as “beef cheeks, cauliflower burnt ends, avocado-topped barbacoa, and cheddar cheesecake.” The establishment will also feature a bar serving wine and beer.

It is also notable that the restaurant will occupy a new, first-generation restaurant space in the neighborhood where LeRoy grew up and where the partner-owners have resided for several years.

“We all have such a love for South Austin, making it our home and home base for the food truck,” Sawyer Lewis states, regarding the restaurant’s location. “So to be able to bring this space to live […] to our own neighborhood is a dream come true.”

What Now Austin reached out to the owners to follow up on existing reporting, but did not receive comment by time of publication.
