Jay Chung, a local restaurateur, will soon be opening Sushi Zoa while planning the first stages of a new restaurant in Hutto, according to recent public records and confirmed by Chung himself.
Sushi Zoa will be located at 4909 Gattis School Rd and the second restaurant at a location not yet determined.
Chung adds that they will be serving “general Japanese food” apart from sushi at Zoa. No menu specifics about the second upcoming restaurant are yet available.
Zoa will take up around 3000 square feet and feature indoor seating only. Details about the second restaurant will be available in the coming months. No hard opening dates have been set for either location.
When asked about his rationale to open restaurants in this area north of Austin, Chung simply states: “I have been driving through Hutto for a long time and I really like this area.”
