International bundt cake franchise Nothing Bundt Cakes is expanding — planning to begin serving its full-size bundt cakes and “bundtlets” for all occasions at a new outpost in Round Rock. According to recent public records, the chain will open at 3021 S I-35 Frontage Rd #130 within the Round Rock gateway shopping center.

Franchisee Greg Cole tells What Now Austin that the opportunity to franchise with the brand “came to me through my other equity partner. We were able to acquire the five existing locations, at the time, in 2021.” This acquisition has made Cole’s group, Frostin City Limits, the sole Nothing Bundt Cakes franchisee in the Austin metropolitan area.

“We believe in the product and the brand, and we believe that there’s a tremendous potential for it to grow in Round Rock.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with Nothing Bundt Cakes can expect “a modern spin on a classic treat,” serving up cake flavors such as blueberry bliss, white chocolate raspberry, and strawberries & cream.

The business was founded in 1997 in Las Vegas and has since debuted over 500 bakery locations in more than 40 states and Canada. No opening date has been set.
