According to recent public records, a new independent establishment by Simon Madera is slated to open at 300 West Whitestone Blvd in Cedar Park, replacing the longtime J&J BBQ & Burgers.

“La Dosis Coffee Taco Coctails”–titled as such under TDLR Architectural Barriers Projects–will launch a construction project to “Replace sheet rock, move fixtures, add bar, paint, update all restaurant equipment” this month with estimates to wrap up by September 2025.

The nearly 5000 square foot space is estimated to cost $400,000 to build up.

While no further detail exists, readers can readily sample Madera’s Taco Flats around town for a taste of his mysterious upcoming project.

No opening date has been set.
