The ubiquitous Chinese fast-casual chain Panda Express will soon open a location in the growing area of Liberty Hill, according to recent public records. The restaurant will be located at 13003 U.S. 290, near eateries such as Dairy Queen and Schlotzky’s.
A brand that requires little introduction, Panda Express has built its reputation from its various classic offerings such as orange chicken, kung pao chicken, and broccoli beef, among many others. The brand is not just a favorite fast casual brand for take-away, but for catering large events as well.
Perhaps what is most notable about the brand, given its massive footprint, is that it remains family-owned by its original founders Andrew and Peggy Cherng, who started the company in 1983 in Glendale, California. As of February 2023, the brand boasts 2,231 stores worldwide.
What Now Austin reached out to Ju Cheysdawoot, Director of Operations, to inquire about the upcoming location’s opening dates, but she was not immediately available for comment. In any case, readers can cautiously rely on the estimated completion date of March 2024, as listed on the public records What Now Austin examined.
Until the Liberty Hill Panda Express opens its doors, readers may visit one of their eight locations within Austin proper, and several others throughout the central Texas area.
