The national donut chain Shipley Do-Nuts will be opening a new outpost at 3401 Northland Dr in Austin, according to recent public records.
Founded in neighboring Houston, Shipley Do-Nuts boasts more than 300 franchised stores in the Southern US states such as Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, with Colorado being a notable outlier. The brand has proven itself to be a resilient force in the donut market, withstanding the popularity of national rivals Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’, and others.
Costing an estimated $250,000, the construction work will consist of a “1,100 square foot interior remodel of existing building into a donut shop including MEP.” Construction is expected to wrap up in December of 2025.
The location will be spearheaded by franchisee David Howell who also runs a Fajita Pete’s location in Dallas on top of being the CFO for Hat Creek Burger Company.
