According to recent public records, Somisomi Soft Serve & Taiyaki is building a new location in town.

Set for 6406 N Interstate Hwy 35 #1220, the growing desserts chain will begin construction in March and aim for completion in June, per estimates. The store will span around 2800 SF and cost $230,000.

What Now Austin reached franchisee Minjung Shin who confirmed the project and will soon follow up with further information.

“Somisomi is founded by 2 dessert enthusiasts whose quest for the perfect dessert led them to creating their very own brand. What started as a standalone ice cream and taiyaki store has now expanded to over 33 locations all over South California, Texas, Nevada and Washington,” the official website states.

No opening date has been set.
