Austin-based dine-in theater chain Alamo Drafthouse is in the process of improving the interior of its S Lamar location shortly after the brand revamped its menu nationwide.
According to recent reporting in the Austin-American Statesman, the theater is is “installing luxury recliners, each with their own individual table” along with “two-person sofa seats that moviegoers can purchase through a two-seat package equal to the cost of two regular tickets.” No timeframe was reported on the project’s duration.
The tweaks come on the heels of the brand’s menu improvements throughout the country, such as bringing back its fried pickle spears.
“The supply chain eased, and the people demanded them,” stated Alamo Drafthouse operations chef Jason Schwartz.
Apart from the beloved pickles, the brand will be serving brussels sprouts, bacon and goat cheese pizza, and The Hellfire Burger, which is made with hot pepper cheese and reaper pepper mayo.
